In 2017 Ivan the former singer of Scythe fell out of the reunion-project, because he lost the signature voice of his hayday. Scythe’s keyboard player decided, that he will growl in the new songs, replacing Ivan. Greg didn’t want to emulate his vocals, rather created something entirely new. By the time the vocal recordings started in Hungary, Ivan rejoined as a background member, providing new - & also resurrecting old lyrics for Greg to growl.
